About Us

How we started

The need for data security and responsibilities in disposal led to the formation of SecuraShred.

Based in Belfast, servicing Northern Ireland, the shredding company has become greatly experienced in dealing with confidential information disposal.

Since its launch SecuraShred has enjoyed rapid growth due to its no-nonsense approach to this everyday business challenge.

SecuraShred is one of the leading confidential shredding companies in Northern Ireland, we have over 10 years experience delivering a high standard of service to both domestic and business customers..

Our Services

SecuraShred provides exclusive onsite and off-site confidential document destruction services through the use of our mobile and in-house shredders.

Each clients confidential material is shredded and destroyed. It goes directly to our recycling facilities where it is baled and delivered to recycling mills.

We also provide you with all relevant documentation including a Certificate of Destruction and an annual Environmental Certificate.

These documents are essential for any audits you may have.

SecuraShred’s Aim

The ultimate aim in our business is to provide our clients with an environmentally friendly means of destroying their confidential materials.

Despite the ecological and human cost of paper production we continue to throw vast amounts of this resource away after using it only once, even though the capability exists to recycle much of it.

Less than half of the paper used in the UK is recovered and over five million tonnes gets dumped in landfill sites adding to the mounting waste disposal problem faced by this country and many others around the world.
This is where SecuraShred comes in to fight against this growing problem.

All organisations hold personal data, from businesses with data about employees to schools with pupil records. Under the Data Protection Act, organisations must keep data up-to-date, only for as long as they need it, and they must keep it securely.
The fact that it is illegal to keep data for longer than it is required brings an immediate need for secure disposal.

Shredding is not only a cost-effective method of destroying confidential data but through recycling it is also good for the environment.

The Data Protection Act of 2000 requires companies to dispose of sensitive information securely or face fines of up to £5000. We are here to help you meet those obligations.

For every 1000 Kilos of paper recycled, approximately 14 trees and 2 cubic meters of landfill space can be saved. Even if you are a small business you could be shredding up to 200 trees every year. Here at SecuraShred we are determined to protect the environment as much as we can.
